I love motivational quotes. I share them frequently on my IG, & I save tons more on my phone & Pinterest. One of the quotes I see frequently is “It’s All or Nothing.” There’s also “Be All in or Get Out.” While I believe you should be “all in” on yourself & tenaciously chase your goals, I don’t agree that you should just give up when you face a setback or make a choice that isn’t conducive to your goals. Perfectionism is a real thing, & I have struggled with it in the past. If I didn’t eat perfectly to plan or if I missed a workout, I would feel horrible about myself & try to punish myself by going to extremes such as cardio twice a day or cutting out carbs. This obviously made me more unhappy, which always led to giving up on my goals & reverting back to my unhealthy eating & quitting working out. Perfectionism is a bitch, & I am glad I kicked her to the curb. If you struggle or have struggled with perfectionism & self-sabotaging when you make a mistake, continue reading because I got news for you girl: You need to move on & get back to kicking ass!
Planning your next grocery trip & need some inspiration on what to buy? Today I am sharing my flexible dieting grocery list. This is the food that I try to keep on hand… If I go without my staples, I find myself eating out (a lot!). I like to keep things simple & delicious. These items taste good, (mostly) are beneficial to your health, & they can be combined several different ways to keep you satisfied & on track with your goals. I buy organic, free range, etc. whenever I can afford to, & I always check to see what is on sale to save money. More money = more food = happy Lauren.
Okay… so let me be fair. Clean eating can work but why would anyone choose to live off of chicken, asparagus and sweet potatoes only? Imagine a life without Oreos or wine. Or PIZZA?! What if I told you that you don’t have to sacrifice the foods that you love or girls night out to achieve your weight loss & fitness goals? If you don’t know what flexible dieting is… GIRL. I’ll link some websites & videos at the end of this post so that you can educate yourself on how to get started, but first I want to share with you my top three reasons flexible dieting trumps clean eating.
